SST Alamo’s Robotics Team Advances to First Lego League Regional Championship

First Lego League (FLL) is an introduction to "science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) [for] children ages 4-16 through fun, exciting hands-on learning." The competition provides robotics clubs a space to apply their knowledge and compete in hands-on tech competitions.

SST Alamo’s Robotic team has worked every Thursday after school the entire year. At the Central Texas Qualifier, the team won first and second in Core Values and first in Robot Design. Now, they progress to the regional championship. If the team continues to find success, they will advance to the world championship.

Mr. K Kahramanoglu (Mr. K) and Mr. Ozturk coach the team. While this is Mr. K's first year, Mr. Ozturk has coached for over a decade. The two coaches make a good pair, as this is the first time SST Alamo advances to the regional competition. Of course, none of this success is possible without the incredible, dedicated students at SST Alamo.

Good luck, Eagles!
